When I unplug and replug my modem, the service returns a few My router is a 4 or 5 year-old N600 (Belkin) -- so not cutting edge/top of the line, but so far enough for 1 person in an apartment. My internet connection is via cable modem and reasonably fast by suburban standards (up to 25 Mbps wireless, close to 100 Mbps wired.)

The only 3 things that I've had open for the past month are Discord, Twitch (in Firefox, not the standalone program), and Final Fantasy XIV. For the longest time I could have all of these open and not have any internet problems but once it started cutting out i stopped using Discord. When this didn't fix it, I would close Twitch too.
